It was a long day -- biked until 10pm -- well after it was dark... but we made it.

We took advantage of our early volunteer day and went to the "international automotive city" Lu'an. Not much on this day, but more to come later
Hefei -- Fri, Jul 8, 2005
 Some brutual roads on our way to Hefei, but more great countryside. We went straight to a school for children with autism when we arrived. We were greeted with applause and then a wave of questions about how to "cure" autism. These parents look desparate and wanted any answer I could give them; sure an American knows the technique that will make a breakthrough for their child. Unfortunately I don't have the answer...

| Have you ever tried to take a road bike through the chinese country side. Well now I have... It was a long day with a lot of back tracking -- 110 kilometers to travel 65 kilometers towards Hefei; but we met some wonderful people along the road. More coming soon |

 Another incredible volunteer day. I had to make up a lesson plan for 10 autistic kids on the spot... an interesting adventure and a whole lot of fun. More to come soon.
